Rome Tour Companies have been doing very well lately on the back of some interesting marketing text: 'We skip the lines!' when in reality there are two lines which both converge at the security area, one via the ticket office. The smaller line direct to the security area is for visitors who have pre-booked tickets, the longer line is for visitors who have not. Both lines are very long in the morning, less so in the afternoon. Our Sacred Vatican Tour begins when you actually enter the Museums. To minimize waiting time if any, we always recommend a 13:00 start. We do not pre-book tickets as waiting time is not significantly reduced. Please contact us if you need more information.
TRUTH & LINES: 'VIP tickets', 'priority access' et al. are slightly misleading descriptions used routinely by other Rome Tour Companies for pre-booked tickets, which do not significantly reduce time spent waiting in line to enter the Vatican Museums, particularly after lunch.
