Eternal Tours Rome guides are either art historians or archaeologists who speak fluent English. They are qualified, licensed tour guides, so they carry the official documents required by law to conduct tours in Rome. Our guides pride themselves on their in depth knowledge of the city. They demonstrate genuine passion and enthusiasm for the finer points of archaeology and history in the company of our guests, and indeed at all other times.
We do not take on students or recent graduates, we do not use any of the tour guide agencies here in Rome, nor do we entertain the notion of training the many unskilled applicants who contact us for tour guide work. The vast majority of tour companies in Rome rely exclusively on a transient workforce, and it is this casual reliance which will compromise the quality of their service at some juncture further down the line. We however have a very strict policy of employing experienced guides only. Our guests pay us for professional guided tours, and that is what we deliver.
